Ministry of the word
Ministers of the Word proclaim the Word of God at Masses. They are tasked with bringing to life the words of the bible to help everyone taking part in the celebration to connect with God's message.

family mass group
The Family Mass Group organises our 10:15 am mass every Sunday by preparing the readings, prayers and offeratory processions. This mass is a place for families to gather in worship with music and liturgy that is accessible to and exciting for young and old alike. Each week, the mass team on duty helps to bring the theme of the liturgy to life and gives the children an opportunity to play an important part in the mass.

hospitality team
The Hospitality Team provides a warm, loving welcome to all congregants as they arrive into the church for mass on Sunday. Whether you are attending at Dalkey for the first time or you are here every week, you will be greeted with open arms.
For anyone joining us for the first time, the Hospitality Team is there to answer any questions and provide guests and new members alike with information on our church, masses and ways to connect with the community.

ministry of the eucharist
The Ministers assist the clergy in bringing the Eucharist to parishioners in church or at home. New ministers are always welcome.

baptism team
The Baptism of a child into the Catholic faith is celebrated by the whole community. The Baptism Team helps families to prepare for this joyful sacrament by meeting together to talk through the practical and spiritual details of the ceremony. On the day, the team provides support and advice where needed.

flower arranging
The group is responsible for creating the joyful floral displays on the church altars every week, and for special feasts and weddings. Their hard work and artistry brings the beauty of God's creation into our celebrations.
New recruits are always welcome to assist with the work. If you have some creative ability and could spare a couple of hours on some Friday mornings, you are welcome.

alpha
The Alpha Leadership Teams are responsible for running Alpha in person and online in Dalkey. Each Team consist of a Host to welcome guests and introduce the topic each week, two group leaders who facilitate the small group discussions and four helpers who tend to the needs of our guests and provide support to the group leaders.

Funeral team
The main role of the Funeral team is to represent the parish faith community at each funeral and be available to assist the officiating priest and the bereaved family in whatever way possible.
The death of a loved one is a heartbreaking experience and we want to do anything we can to take away the stress of negotiating an unfamiliar process. The team will help to guide everyone involved in the ceremony through their role.

The website team takes responsibility for the design of and content on our parish website. Communication is vital in building community so it is a priority to have a website that is up to date and showcases the amazing work done in and by our parish.
New members with a passion for communication and a little technical knowledge are always welcome.
