Mosney Bike Appeal

Dear Dalkey Parishioners,
Thanks to the enormous generosity of the Dalkey Parishioners, we were able to donate 20 second hand bikes to children and adults in Mosney during the period before Christmas. They were accepted with great joy, especially by the children.

One Mum told us that her little boy could not sleep the previous night because of the excitement as he had been promised a bike!
Bikes are ideal for children in Mosney, as cars are not allowed into the general compound. This makes it a safe place for children of all ages to cycle.

During the last handout we, unfortunately, had to disappoint some latecomers as we had no bikes left. We are now appealing for 10 more second hand bikes to give to the children we could not facilitate on the last occasion. I hope you can help us and bring a little joy into the hearts of those refugee children.

Time to search the shed for those discarded kids’ bikes!!
