The Family Mass runs every Sunday at 10:15 mass and aims to help children to grow in their faith and come to know Jesus. Through music, drama, readings and art, the mass comes to life for everyone, young and old. Because the kids are active participants in the mass, they can embrace the faith as their own and come to their own understanding of God.
We are looking for people to help out in all aspects of running the Family Mass. If you have a heart to support and encourage our youngest parishioners in their faith development, we have a role for you.
The Mass Teams organise and co-ordinate the mass by arranging readings, reflections and prayers in keeping with the theme of the week and, of course, the child and adult participants to read the Word and the words.
By working in teams, the responsibility and work is shared amoung all the members of our group and no one is on duty for more than 1 mass a month (unless they want to be). To join a team and bring the fun please contact Audrey Murphy at xxxxx or talk to any of the team after mass on Sunday.
If you or your child would like to take part in the readings, prayers or offeratory procession, talk to any of the team on Sunday. We are always looking for helpers.
The Children's Choir leads the congregation at our Family Mass in joyful, uplifting music. We are always looking for help to assist in leading the choir and for musicians to accompany the choir. If you are musically inclined why not come along and help the children to raise their voices in song. Contact Audrey at xxxx@xxxxx or come over for a chat after mass on Sunday.
If you have a child who would like to give singing a try just bring them along to practice on Thursdays at 6:15 in the church or talk to Audrey after the 10:15 mass on Sunday.
The Drama Group acts out the Gospel each week to bring the Word to life in a fun and accessible way. We are looking for people with a creative spirit and a flair for the dramatic to help the children rehearse their lines and let their little lights shine! Contact Ruth at [email protected] or come over for a chat after the Family Mass on Sunday.
If your child would like to take part in the drama group you can bring them along to practice on Thursdays in the church at 6:45 or talk to Anna or Ruth after the 10:15 mass on Sunday.
