Dia dhíbh go léir!
I would like to introduce myself to parishioners and others who visit this website. My name is Liam Lacey and I have been appointed by Archbishop Dermot Farrell as Parish Priest of Dalkey in succession to Fr. Paddy Devitt. Fr. Paddy has retired and I would like to wish him good health and many more years to enjoy his retirement.
I come to Dalkey having previously served in many parishes over the years. My most recent parish was Sutton and I am delighted to know that there are many people here in Dalkey who have connections with Sutton.
I hail from the northside, although most of my ministry has been on the westside or southside of the city.
Coming to Dalkey as the Covid-19 pandemic is still with us provides many challenges. The relaxation in restrictions is welcome but it is the case that we cannot move about without thinking how our actions may contribute to the spread of the virus even though the vast majority of people are vaccinated.
I look forward to working with the various parish committees and meeting people as we get to know each other.
I ask you to pray for me as I will pray for you.
Le gach dea ghuí
Fr. Liam Lacey, PP
