Hans Gunther Unger RIP

UNGER Hans Günther (Dalkey, Co Dublin, formerly Breman, Germany and late of The Royal St George Yacht Club) November 18th 2015 (peacefully) in St. Michael’s Hospital. Sadly missed by his sister Birgit, brother Ralph, extended family, god-daughter Jodie and a very wide circle of friends.

 

Reposing Monday in Quinn’s of Glasthule from 6pm to 8pm. Removal Tuesday to Mount Jerome Crematorium arriving for 2pm Funeral Service

Anne Murray RIP

Anne MURRAY (née Hanney) (Dalkey, formerly Glasthule, Co. Dublin) 19th November, 2015 (peacefully) at home, surrounded by her loving daughters, Anne, beloved wife of the late Paul, loving mother of Elaine, Tracy, Natalie, Paula and Annemarie; Very sadly missed by her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sister, extended family, neighbours and friends.

 

Removal Saturday 21st Nov  from her home to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving at 11.20am for 11.30am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Ethna Murphy RIP

Ethna MURPHY (Formerly of Dalkey) – November 15th 2015 (peacefully) at St Columcille’s Hospital. Ethna; sadly missed by her loving nieces, cousins and friends.

Removal on Friday evening to the Church of the Assumption B.V.M., Dalkey arriving at 5pm. Funeral on Saturday 16th  after 10am Requiem Mass to Deans Grange Cemetery.

Lenten Lecture Series 2016

The title of the series of Lenten Lectures for the combined parishes of The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Patrick’s is:

The Bible and Christian Faith Today

The lectures will take place from 7.30 – 9.00 pm on Tuesdays, 16th February, 23rd February, 1st March, 8th March in Our Lady’s Hall.

Update on Dalkey Outreach Programme in Kitui

” For almost four years we have been supporting an Ursuline Educational project in Mutune, Kitui run by Sister Clare Tobin.OSU. St Columba’s is a school for girls who could not complete primary school and who without this intervention would begin life in a hugely disadvantaged and vulnerable way. The school has about 80 on roll and places huge emphasis on teaching skills to equip students with income generating skills. At time of writing, 15 graduates now make an independent

Parish Gospel Choir

We are delighted to announce that we will have a Dalkey Parish Gospel Choir starting in the Autumn. Rehearsals will take place Wednesday at 7.00 pm in the Church beginning on Wednesday 9th September. Come along and bring your voice!

 

 

Bereavement Counselling

Bereavement counselling is available at Presbytery No.2 each Tuesday Night between 7-9 Call 8391766 for an appointment, this service is non denominational ‘free, and confidential.
