Date(s) - 21 Aug 2017
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Our parish, together with St. Patrick’s have organised a Family Day at Dublin Zoo for a group of 33 including children and their parents from the Direct Provision Centre in Mosney on Monday 21st August 2017.
We expect the bus from Mosney to arrive at 11.00 am and have asked the group to stay together and go to the ‘Groups and Members’ Entrance’ where we will meet them.
If you wish to join us for the visit please meet us at that entrance at 10.45 am. I understand that there is likely to be a queue at the general entrance so it is important that our group do not join that queue. We all need to enter the Zoo together and I will pay for everybody. The Zoo have kindly extended the concession rate of €10 per adult to all in the group which parishioners can arrange to refund to the Migrants’ Project fund.
Once we are inside we will be met by Zoo staff and volunteers who will guide us on a tour during the morning until lunch time at 1.00 pm and again after lunch. We will all have lunch together in the Restaurant and have a chance to sit and rest before the afternoon tour. Again, it is important to wear comfortable shoes and to bring buggies for the small children. It is also advisable to bring rain gear – just in case we need it but we will hope for a fine day!
If you intend to join us for the Zoo visit can you please email either Elizabeth at email@example.com Ginnie at firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday next 17th August so that we can make the appropriate arrangements with Dublin Zoo. It would also probably make sense to share cars as far as possible so perhaps if those willing to drive and take passengers could let us know we can try to organise this.
