Happy New Year to all our friends, we hope the season was a peaceful one. A quick reminder that next Sun (28th) will bring our first monthly coffee morning of 2018 in aid of Sr Clare and her school in Kitui, Kenya. Everyone is welcome to join us for a hot cuppa tea or coffee from 9.30am to 12.30pm in Our Lady’s Hall. We look forward to seeing you.

The Service of Prayer for Christian Unity will take place in St. Patrick’s Church on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 at 7.30 pm.

The speaker will be Fr Bob Whiteside, who will speak on the theme of World Meeting of Families.

All are welcome to attend.

Our parish ministries, including the Family Mass Group, need volunteers. A leaflet describing the parish ministries where additional volunteers are needed has been distributed and is available in Church porches. Please take some time to read the leaflet and see where you can make a contribution. We need your help.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (communal rite) will be available in our own Church in Dalkey on Monday 18 December at 7.30 pm; in Dun Laoghaire on Saturday 16th at 11.30 amin Sallynoggin on Tuesday 19th at 7.30 pm; in Glasthule on Wednesday 20th at 7.30 pm.

Individual rite will take place in Dalkey from 19th to 23rd December after 10.00 am Mass each day.

Rosary on the Coast

A rosary on the coast around Ireland for life and faith, takes place on Sunday 26th November, Feast of Christ the King, at 2.30 pm at 140 locations. A group from the Parish of the Assumption will gather at Coliemore Harbour and all are most welcome to come and join.

Bereavement Mass

A special Mass in remembrance of our parishioners who have died in the last year will be celebrated on Tuesday 21st November 2017 at 7.30 pm. If you would like to place a candle in memory of your deceased relative or friend on a special table in front of the altar before Mass begins please come a little early. Candles will be available at the back of the Church. Light refreshments will be served in the Church after Mass.

The PPC needs your gifts, your skills and talents. Please consider going forward for election. Nomination forms are available in the porches and from the parish office. Completed forms should be returned to the office or the sacristy by Sunday 19th November and the election will take place on 2/3 December 2017.
