We have great news from Leopardstown Race Course where two lads from Moyross are doing extremely well. Pat Keogh writes: “They are two great guys and are very hard workers. They are very popular with all the staff here and would be welcome back any time.” One of them has been given an opportunity to work for Fitzers at Leopardstown; Fitzers are “delighted” with him so he may well be set up for a career in catering in the future. Lee Quinn, a ‘past-pupil’ of the programme has gone on to RACE, the jockey school in the Curragh, and has won the trophy for the most improved beginner. Just shows what these young people can do when they are given a chance! We are privileged in Dalkey to be part of the process of giving them that chance.
